Blank Blues

These lyrics were written to capture the numb feelings of dissociation and melancholy common in today’s modern world and especially in the youth. 

This is done through original and existing cultural imagery including a “robot that has given up,” “the new empty hearts club” and the “lo-fi girl,” and most prominently with the core “blank blues” imagery that is both a thematic metaphor and the literal eyes of the narrator.
